Colorful former Providence Mayor 'Buddy' Cianci falsley accused Providence Mayor David Ciciline today of sending a police car to Logan Airport in Boston to retrieve two gay porn stars whom he alleges will be performing in one the city's gay nightclubs. Cianci was unable to determine which nightclub would allegedly be hosting the porn stars, but made references to the upcoming performance at Trixx by performer Reese Rider.

Labelling the stars "Flash Gordon" and "Buck Naked", Cianci on his daily radio talk show suggested that in sending the cruiser to Boston, the Mayor misused City resources.

Divine Providence investigated Cianci's allegations.

Divine Providence left messages with Trixx and with the Mayor's office for their response. This story will be updated as events unfold.

*UPDATE*

The General Manager at Trixx replied to this story with the following:

As you can imagine we have been overwhelmed with calls and emails from our loyal customers and the public in general over some of the most uninformed comments heard on WPRO News Talk 630 during The Buddy Cianci Show. Since neither Buddy nor his production staff attempted to contact us for comment and we typically don't tune the AM dial, I can't comment on the specifics of the show.

From what we have been able to understand from all of the calls and emails we have received, everything is all over an internet article posted by The Jaric's on October 28 th after their October 25 th appearance at Trixx All Male Revue. The Falcon Exclusive Couple, Aden and Jordan Jaric, had included photos taken shortly after their arrival at Boston Logan. Their commentary included remarks about having a police escort and traveling at 100 mph through the airport.

The photos were genuine but the comments, following in the foot steps of PT Barnum with his great quote "Without promotion something terrible happens... Nothing!", were a bit of hyperbole and exaggeration. Shortly after picking up the couple at the arrivals terminal, a police cruiser directly ahead of us turned on his lights and we took advantage of him clearing the way through the traffic ahead. Joking comments were made at the expense Trixx had gone through including a police escort and even asked if there was going to be a parade in their honor.

It was a coincidence and a great opportunity for promotion, not only for the Jaric's but also for Trixx. However former business partners of the club have taken to internet locales such as Craigslist with this, trying to create a public image nightmare for the club among the general public.

This effort has spilled over onto the airwaves with an unbalanced and unverified account of events which only serves to sensationalize the actual facts and create a negative image of not only the club but also create a public assault on the Mayor of Providence.

Had we been contacted for comment by WPRO or Buddy, they simply would have been told the facts that it occurred outside of Rhode Island and had nothing what so ever to do with Mayor Cicilline or The Providence Police Department. I guess these facts would have made it less entertaining.

### *Update*
The I Team of Boston reports that Trixx Manager Scott Birchall arranged for police transportion for the Jarics in October. Apparently a Boston police cruiser was used to transport the Jaric Brothers. The event was caught on film and the BPD is investigating. There is no indication that Mayor Cicilline was even aware of the event.

A call to the Mayor's Office was returned late Thursday. The Providence Mayor's Office declines to comment on these events or Cianci's accusations.
